While at Collins, this project was presented to make a common label much easier to read and digest. Working in a grocery store for several years, I am always looking for ways to simplify the shopping experience so I chose to redesign meat package labels.
Customers are always complaining about the confusing labels and hard to understand fine print. I decided to color code them, pink for beef, blue for pork, and green for chicken. These colors would make it very easy to instantly spot the difference between the three. I also made sure to make the total price and expiration date very clear and easy to read as well as the origin of the meat. The fine print was the last thing that I simplified in order to make it actually understandable.
